Why do we need to see the king get executed and subsequent events if someone is just going to report exactly that anyway? There's so many examples of things like this. If they didn't go around showing how obviously evil people sound with their evil BGM and evil speech patterns, their thin veneers of legitimacy they use to justify their actions could potentially be convincing enough to make you hesitate into taking a passive approach for reasons other than just seeing what would happen.Īlso the game takes like 10 minutes to present story that could feasibly be presented in a single sentence. The idea of winning people over to a decision you yourself don't even know for sure is the correct one is such a cool idea that I feel is a huge missed opportunity. It's so much less interesting coming to a conclusion the moment the question is asked since you already know the big picture, and thus the only reason you need to gather information is so you can force that decision on others. For instance, the scales thingy would be a lot more interesting if prior to gathering information, you didn't already know much about the circumstances yourself from the multiple perspective storytelling. I feel like I would've enjoyed the game and the story more if I had less of an idea of what's going on in the story.
